Winter Concert - Fables of Frosty Nights
THE CIVIC ORCHESTRA OF NEW HAVEN PRESENTS ‘FABLES OF FROSTY NIGHTS’ WINTER CONCERT
​New Haven, Conn: The Civic Orchestra of New Haven (CONH), under the baton of Maestro Nadya Potemkina, will present ‘Fables of Frosty Nights’ on Sunday, December 15th, at 4:00 p.m. at the historic Battell Chapel, located at the corner of College and Elm Streets in New Haven. The program will include Otto Nicolai’s Christmas Overture, setting a festive tone for the season. Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, with its sweeping melodies and storytelling, will be the centerpiece of the performance, evoking the mystery and allure of Arabian Nights. The orchestra will also perform a selection from George Chadwick’s Symphonic Sketches, evoking a
​feeling of serenity and comfort.​
In a special collaboration, the Trumbull High School Choir will join the orchestra for a selection of choral pieces, adding their voices to the holiday celebration.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and children are free.
