We've Got Magic to Do: The Music of Stephen Schwartz

Madison Lyric Stage, a professional theater company on the Connecticut shoreline, will present  We’ve Got Magic to Do: The Music of Stephen Schwartz  for four performances from June 20-22 at the MLS theater tent on the grounds of Madison’s historic Deacon John Grave House.

Featuring a talented ensemble of eight singers and a live band, the production will showcase beloved songs by the legendary composer behind Wicked, Pippin, Godspell and more.

This musical celebration pays homage to the Tony Award-winning composer, spotlighting the extensive songbook from both his iconic stage productions and from his acclaimed film scores, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Prince of Egypt.

With a career spanning over five decades, Stephen Schwartz has crafted a remarkable repertoire of songs such as All Good Gifts, Corner of the Sky, Day by Day, Defying Gravity, For Good, Meadowlark, Magic to Do, Morning Glow, Popular,and many others, which have left an indelible mark on American musical theater.
