Soy Candle Making 101

Participants will learn the basics of soy candle making using natural wax, cotton wicks, and essential or fragrance oils. This beginner-friendly workshop walks you through the full process—from choosing a scent to setting your wick—so you leave with the knowledge and confidence to make candles on your own.
What to Expect
You’ll make two different candles in glass jars, each with a burn time of over 25 hours. Laurie will guide you through scent selection (with over 150 options to choose from!), walk you through safe and effective wax melting and pouring techniques, and discuss color, ratio, and other variables to help you customize your results.

Prerequisites / Safety Information
No prerequisites. Some hot wax will be used—please wear clothes you’re comfortable working in. All materials and safety guidance will be provided.
