This month we’re watching Leave Her to Heaven (1945), a psychological thriller that blends film noir and melodrama, starring Gene Tierney, Cornel Wilde, Jeanne Crain, and Vincent Price. The story centers on a woman whose obsessive love for her husband drives her to manipulation and murder. The film features striking cinematography, winning the Academy Award for best cinematography for Leon Shamroy. In 2018, it was selected for the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
