Description

The Black Trauma Narrative is a dynamic town hall style forum designed to open dialogue for an understanding of how traumatic events significantly affect the well-being of African Americans on an individual and community level.

The discussion is multifaceted, encompassing:

  • Historical impacts of the Black experience in America
  • The effects of mass trauma
  • Barriers, disparities and access to care
  • Hope for recovery

A catered brunch will be served.

Host organization Axxis Wellness is extending (1) complimentary consultation for individuals attending from the community (restrictions apply).

A complimentary in-service workshop will be extended to professionals attending from business, health and education sectors.

Full details and sign-up will be available at registration on the day of the event.

Our host is Dr. Tajhma Burroughs , behavioral occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience treating individuals across the lifespan with physical, psychological, and emotional deficits. Through her private practice, Axxis Wellness, Dr. Taj offers child, adolescent and adult services, community-based supports and behavioral skills training.
