From February 6 - March 15, 2026, Kehler Liddell Gallery presents BIRD SEED, two solo shows by Gar WATERMAN and Tom EDWARDS

​

ARTISTS’ STATEMENT:

​

Tom Edwards exhibits a veritable aviary in our gallery this month with over 60 interpretations of BIRD that he has printed, drawn, painted or sculpted in response to personal encounters with winged creatures or in deep reverie of birds in nature, art, science and culture.

​

For Gar Waterman, the form, function and strategy of seeds have provided a lifetime of fascination and in SEED, he has endeavored to capture that moment of potential where biology, beauty, and imagination converge to translate nature’s quiet intelligence into stone.

Kehler Liddell Gallery (KLG) is a cooperative gallery in the heart of New Haven’s Westville village representing 28 of the area’s most notable emerging and established artists. Established in 2003, KLG is one of New Haven’s longest running retail galleries to date. All of the artists are juried into membership. Monthly exhibitions are highlighted by free community arts programming. The gallery is free and open to the public.
