The Annual Meeting of the Friends of Milford Cemetery will be held on Friday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at the Freelove Baldwin Stow DAR Chapter House, 55 Prospect St.
All who are interested in joining or supporting the FOMC activities are welcome to attend. The yearly dues donation is $15. There are spring and fall workdays when the group takes off the moss and lichens on the old grave markers.
The FOMC was founded in 2014 to help protect and preserve Milford Cemetery. This graveyard, officially called Ye Old Milford Cemetery, was laid out in 1676, and It’s one of the oldest cemeteries in the United States where burials are still done.
